Victor Ehikhamenor is a Nigerian artist, writer and photographer. His works are influenced by the duality of African traditional religion and Western beliefs, memories and nostalgia. His symbols and motifs are reminiscent of his childhood village shrine art. Ehikhamenor’s work has been shown at the Venice Biennale, Italy; Jogja Biennale, Indonesia; Dak’art Biennale, Dakar Senegal; Mediation Biennale, Poznan, Poland and others. He is a 2016 recipient of the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Residency award.
