GARDEN OF TOMORROW

‘Garden of Tomorrow’ is an ambitious exhibition which will be exhibited for two weeks at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos. The featured works and their installation will position the artist as healer, for society, and/or for him or herself as the creator. With 60 artworks showcased in the exhibition, the project will also commemorate the 60-year anniversary of Nigeria’s independence. All of the artists to be featured live and work in Nigeria. Work by emerging, experimental artists will appear alongside work by more established artists. Acknowledging the present and histories of visual art in Nigeria, the larger aim of the project is to point towards potential futures in contemporary African art, society at large, and the positioning of creative expression as an inextricable catalyst for future progress.
