Odur Ronald (b. 1992) is a multi-disciplinary visual artist from Uganda. He studied interior design at Kyambogo University Uganda, graduating in 2017. Ronald’s practice involves the use of aluminium printing plates, which he paints, dents, burns, layers, stitches and weaves in exploration of the material’s possibilities and in tackling his ideas from different vantage points, yielding results in the form of sculptures, installations, paintings and performances that address contemporary issues of power, movement, access, belonging and personhood. His list of solo and group exhibitions includes The Republic of This and That, Afropocene (2023) and Welcome to the UK, Ugly Duck, London (2024).
