Founded in 1996 by Aissa Dione, Galerie Atiss Dakar opened with exhibitions of wellknowned Senegalese artists and has gained a reputation for spotting, incubating and presenting fresh talent from West Africa.The Gallery has collaborated with Galerie Chab, Mali, Galerie MAM, Cameroun, and has played an important role in each Biennale of Art in Dakar since its inception.
