O’DA ART GALLERY
O’DA is a contemporary art and design gallery based in Lagos, Nigeria. Established in 2020, we showcase works from across the African continent and its diaspora. Bridging the gap between local and international audiences, our gallery champions mid-career and established artists engaged in exploring a variety of themes, such as identity, technology, political commentary, social consciousness and environmental change, as well as an equally diverse host of multi-faceted designers.

Multidisciplinary artist Uthman Wahaab (b. 1983, Nigeria) splits his time between Lagos and the United Kingdom. Wahaab’s practice is rooted in his deep interest in social phenomena and desire to experiment with a range of artistic media, including drawing, painting, graphic design, film, photography, sculpture and installation, which he employs in the development of a visual language that rejects traditional forms of depiction and facilitates his documentation of unfolding reality. The series The Phenomenal Woman Takes a Trip continues his exploration of the beauty standards imposed upon women by celebrating their freedom and being in moments of leisure.
