AAdulphina Imuede (b. 1992, Nigeria) is a Lagos-based visual artist who locates her innermost voice through her artistic practice. Imuede majored in painting at the University of Lagos, and employs a sensitive approach to imaginative portraiture, the results of which are a perfect marriage of mathematical precision and free brushwork and seamlessly blend fantasy with realism. Imuede’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in a desire to understand her heritage and develop a profound sense of purpose.

The works presented here aim to stimulate dialogue about Imuede’s artistic practice as a means to engaging with broader themes related to spirituality, personal experiences, and historical context.
